Every attempt pulls a fresh, randomized run of flags rather than a fixed set of ten, so playing it twice in a row rarely produces the same sequence — the goal is genuine breadth across the whole roster, not memorization of one static list.
Because the pool spans every continent, the difficulty inside a single run swings wide on purpose. Each question shows one national flag and asks you to identify the country, drawn at random from all 196 entries in the flag database — no repeats within a single run. A streak counter tracks consecutive correct answers, and your best streak is what's worth comparing across attempts rather than a raw percentage, since the number of questions in a run and the specific flags you happen to draw both vary.
There's no timer forcing a guess before you're ready, and there's no partial credit for a near-miss country name — you're being tested on visual recognition of the actual flag, not on typing accuracy, so answer selection (rather than free-text entry) is how the format avoids penalizing a correct identification typed with a slightly different spelling.
